i had this movie depravation thingy going on a couple of weeks ago until it was statisfied by my last movie, which was also The Lake House.. haha
Anyway, i'm game for movies!

Sad to say me and peiyun will have an end of posting test coming in slightly more than a weeks time, so how about after that? ahtan and fel, you guys can go ahead first for some of the movies first if you all are free next week.. but next week's probably not the best time for me k?

also fel, i kinda dont know 1/2 of the movies you recommended.. but i googled them and they all sound pretty good. daniel wu's calling out to me but i'm not so into zzy and zx.. little miss sunshine, frens with $$ and hughjackman all sound good. oh n i saw a poster of gongli in miami vice.. she looks pretty good in there.

so yep my hols is from 14-22oct ya.. anytime then wud b good, or even the week b4 anytime after my test.. but the date has not been arranged with my examiner yet.

i still rem last year the filmfest! stopmomtheresa has gotta be one of the best movies ive ever watched, to the extent i'm probs gg hungary to try to buy the dvd and ost, can??!!?

i need to watch a movie!

guys.. when was the last time you watched a movie? if im not wrong, mine was the lakehouse with serene which was a freakin' long time ago! arghz.. and recently there are lots of good movies out there screaming for us, right anot?! like..

1. miami vice
(think extreme hotbabe gong li with her hilariously-pokkai-laukui english accent, im giving her a chance to redeem herself after memoirs)

2. the banquet
(ooooh.. daniel wu yan zu.. do i see saliva drooling out of ur mouth ladies.. remember ladies.. "DEMURE and GLAM.. DEMURE and GLAM.." quick wipe ur saliva away.. zhouxun's worth watching too and "essence of asian beauty/chicken" zhangziyi with drawn eyebrows)

3. little miss sunshine
(hey.. isnt that huayu?! anyway.. reviews are praising it.. so must bring out the herd mentality and go watch!)

4. [darn good] friends with [COSMIC proportion of] money
(no doubt that will be us in 10 years time or less.. great cast! and it sort of resonates some what with our gang somehow.. a sequel to the europe film fest thingy i intro-ed u guys the last time maybe?)

5. scoop [coming soon! 0pens 5 oct]
(just because hugh-wolverine-jackman is in.. and scarlett johansson too!)

actually on the top of my list is forbidden city:portrait of an empress.. im still deciding if i shud catch the last show tmr! dang.. damn tough decision! quite ex summore..

i think this whole movie depravation thing is due to the influence of my film and history module.. tis making me really love watching movies! enjoying the diff perspective it brings and that few, but much needed and tranquill and beautiful, minutes of escapism! we all need a dose of escapism once in awhile, right?

so come on guys.. (serene prob sees me raising my arms... haha.. TSK!) lemme know/post online your schedules for the coming weeks and we'll try to work something out asap. hurry! while time slots last!

spain and somewhere more local

hey everyone.
i got my exchange in spain. so its spring in barcelona this 2007, plus some sort of travel ard europe here and there. my dream coming true. and i got it together with sa, which means i wun be alone and we're going the same school.. most probs doing the same courses.
wat are the odds eh?

anyway purpose for this post, i have been missing toa payoh these few days. funny right? but those afternoons when we'd go there for lunch after class in jc (fast food, sakae, and even swensons), and going to shops like bread talk, the specs shop where huimin prime prime works, going popular buying energy cd, hah.. then taking 88 home w laoda. i dunno why, but i miss that alot.
oh and i miss the bishan-j8 area too. seems like after leaving school, i'd only go to these places a few times each year.. and maybe i din realise it, but i actually miss it quite a bit.

yeah that's about it.

yaya sisterhood

i came home to find chn 5 showing this. hope you guys caught it too. if not, i hope you get to watch it eventually. bc it reminds me of our gang, and how great friends we have come to be.. and how much greater we can all become, if we're lucky. haha.
quite a simple heartwarming kinda story. (able to induce some tears even.) i felt rather inspired after it. and its some sorta timely mood-lifter, at least for me.

oh well. its been a tough few weeks. just wanna hug you all.
